What does the Video to JAMMA Board Do?
The Video to JAMMA Adapter converts COMPOSITE NTSC video to R-G-B so that you can use a regular game monitor as a video monitor.
It also has an audio amplifier built in to boost an accompanying line level audio source to drive a speaker.
The Video to JAMMA Adapter will let you convert any JAMMA wired video game cabinet with a horizontally mounted monitor into a television when used with a tuner, VCR, DVD, satellite or other video source.
How Does It Work?
Simply plug the Video to JAMMA Adapter into any horizontal JAMMA video game cabinet, connect AUDIO and VIDEO from your VCR, DVD or other video source via two standard RCA jacks and turn on the power. It's that simple!
When connected to the industry standard JAMMA harness inside a video game cabinet the Video to JAMMA Adapter will convert any horizontal monitor video game cabinet into a composite NTSC video monitor with sound.
Can this board be used in video game cabinets with a vertical monitor?
Not really. The picture will work but it will be turned on its side and would not be useable.
Can this board be used WITHOUT a JAMMA harness?
Yes, you can make all the connections via a standard .100" header connector.

Can I use this board with my PC's or MAC's monitor?
NO! This board is designed to be used with STANDARD RESOLUTION commercial video game RGB monitors.
Can S-Video be used as a signal source?
No. This board accepts COMPOSITE VIDEO only!
Can I use PAL video or non-interlaced NTSC (Japan)?
The Video to JAMMA Adapter automatically can switch between American NTSC (NTSC-3, interlaced) and Japanese NTSC (NTSC-4, non-interlaced), but CANNOT be used with PAL.
What adjustments if any are there?
The board comes completely calibrated and ready to use right out of the box.
You can adjust the volume by tweaking the VOLUME CONTROL pot.
You can adjust the COLOR, TINT, CONTRAST and SHARPNESS to your own taste. These features are adjusted by using the three push buttons at the rear edge of the board.
Once set, the settings are saved in memory on the adapter so the board will power on with the saved settings every time (unless you change them).
Can I use the Video to JAMMA Adapter in a NON-JAMMA cabinet with a harness adapter?
Yes, as long as the harness adapter connects all of the monitor signals, the speaker and +5v and +12v.
Can I use the Video to JAMMA Adapter with a multi-JAMMA switch board?
Yes! That way you can switch back and forth between a video game and a TV picture!
How do I hook it up?
If you plan to install the Video to JAMMA Adapter in a pre-wired video game cabinet equipped with a JAMMA harness, you simply plug the Adapter board into the JAMMA edge connector, connect VIDEO and AUDIO to the Adapter board, and turn it all on! It's Plug N' Play when used with a JAMMA video game cabinet.
