JAMM'N Tv! is the world's first JAMMA color television system.
JAMM'N Tv! is a kit designed to convert any JAMMA cabinet into a full featured color television.
How Does It Work?
Simply plug JAMM'N Tv! into your JAMMA game cabinet, connect an antenna or cable and watch TV! It's that simple!
Use the joystick UP and DOWN to increase/decrease the volume, and RIGHT and LEFT to change channels.
Player 1 and Player 2 FIRE buttons 1-2-3-4-5 are programmable HOTKEYS for instant channel access.
JAMM'N Tv! is fully remote control and works with any Universal Remote Control hand unit.
Can this board be used in video game cabinets with a vertical monitor?
Not really. The picture will work but it will be turned on its side and would not be useable.
Can I build a custom color TV using this board and a game monitor?
Yes, absolutely! Just wire up your custom TV set as if it were a video game kit.

Can I use this board with my PC's or MAC's monitor?
NO! This board is designed to be used with STANDARD RESOLUTION commercial video game RGB monitors.
Can I connect S-Video to JAMM'N Tv!'s auxillary input?
No. JAMM'N Tv! works with NTSC COMPOSITE VIDEO only! (PAL version is available for the UK)
Can I use PAL video or non-interlaced NTSC (Japan)?
JAMM'N Tv! can be set via DIP switch to accept either American NTSC (NTSC-3, interlaced) or Japanese NTSC (NTSC-4, non-interlaced). JAMM'N Tv! is available for PAL when used in the United Kingdom.
Will JAMM'N Tv! receive HDTV signals?
No. JAMM'N Tv! receives standard NTSC (PAL) television signals. The HDTV adapters available from your local cable TV provider that will let you view HDTV pictures on standard NTSC TV monitors are fully compatable with JAMM'N Tv!.
What adjustments if any are there?
JAMM'N Tv! comes completely calibrated and ready to use right out of the box.
Volume is set using the joystick or the remote control, but you can set a MASTER VOLUME on the board to limit how loud JAMM'N Tv! can play.
You can adjust the COLOR, TINT, CONTRAST and SHARPNESS to your own taste. These features are adjusted in the SETUP MENU which appears on the screen when the TEST button is pressed.
The CHANNEL SCAN feature will scan all channels and SAVE them to memory, thus eliminating "dead" channels from the tuning memory. You can edit this at anytime to add or delete channels, and you can always randomly key in a channel on the remote control.
Once set, the settings are saved in memory so JAMM'N Tv! will power on with the saved settings every time. JAMM'N Tv! even remembers what the last channel you watched was, along with volume settings.
How does JAMM'N Tv! display the channel?
JAMM'N Tv! uses On-Screen-Programming. The channel number and volume setting will appear on the screen for 3 seconds each time a change is made then disappear. If the MUTE feature is activated, the word "MUTE" will appear on the screen in RED as long as the MUTE is activated and will disappear once un-muted.
Can I use JAMM'N Tv! in a NON-JAMMA cabinet with a harness adapter?
Yes, as long as the harness adapter connects all of the monitor signals, the speaker, +5v, +12v and the joystick and buttons (including the TEST button).
Can I use JAMM'N Tv! with a multi-JAMMA switch board?
Yes! That way you can switch back and forth between a video game and a TV picture! The use of a multi-JAMMA switch board with analog high speed video switches or mechanical switching is highly recommended (not all of the dual or multi-JAMMA switch boards use this type of video switch). If you use JAMM'N Tv! with boards that use digital switches or have low-level clamps in place the TV picture may not be as bright as the game picture or the TV picture may be distorted, thus causing you to re-adjust the monitor constantly each time you switch from game to to TV (More of a TV picture is in constant state of change than that of a video game -- this is why the high speed analog switch is recommended).
How do I hook it up?
If you plan to install JAMM'N Tv! in a pre-wired video game cabinet equipped with a JAMMA harness, you simply plug the JAMM'N Tv! board into the JAMMA edge connector, connect an antenna or cable and turn it on! It's Plug N' Play when used with a JAMMA video game cabinet.
If your JAMMA cabinet is not wired to support all five FIRE buttons for Player 1 and/or Player 2 you may wish to add these wires and buttons to facilitate all ten HOTKEYS.
Is JAMM'N Tv! coin-operated?
JAMM'N Tv! is only being offered at this time as a home use board without any coin-op features and operates on permanent FREE PLAY.
Does JAMM'N Tv! have parental controls?
Yes. Once set, the ability to use the remote control or change the settings can be disabled via a DIP switch setting.
